History

At Barnes Farm Primary School, we aim to develop a range of essential characteristics when studying local, British and World history. Pupils will develop an excellent awareness of the past with a strong understanding of chronology. Also, they will be able to confidently ask and answer questions, using historical terminology, to further their knowledge. Having access to various artefacts develops a passion for history and an enthusiastic engagement in learning, which encourages their sense of curiosity about the past.

Pupils will have the opportunity to attend trips that are based on their historical topics throughout their time at Barnes Farm Primary School, which expands their knowledge and interest further.
