Music

At Barnes Farm Primary School, the children have a diverse and exciting curriculum, giving them opportunities to listen to, evaluate, compose and appreciate different genres of music. In lessons, they will explore different instruments and develop an understanding of pulse, rhythm and dynamics. We aim to provide opportunities for children to grow in confidence and express themselves whether that be through singing or working in a group to compose their own melody through writing notations. Music extends to our weekly singing assemblies and extra curricula activities such as KS2 choir and music festivals in our local community.
